Family Race by UrsusArctos Family Race by UrsusArctos
Well, I finished up this illustration. I'm not too happy with it... I messed up the contrast tweaking it a bit too much, so its a bit too saturated (especially the bear in the car) and so its a little disappointing. I may go back and fix it later, but for now its done, as I have only slept 6 hours in the last two days trying to finish it.

EDIT: Wow! While I'm not too happy with this overalll piece, I am shocked and honored that others are diggin' it! Thank you SO much for the DD on this piece! It means so very much to me!

This work was also entered into a Juried art show and was accepted and is now on display :)

Again, thank you everyone!

Family Race by *UrsusArctos is a wonderful illustration -- from the interaction of all the characters and their family project, to the little things like the posters on the wall and the plate full of cookies. ( Suggested by Poila-Invictiwerks and Featured by cooley )

That's really cute! perspective is a bit off in a few places but overall it's playful and nice.

Thanks! Yeah this is one of my first attempts to draw a scene... so perspective is definitely not my strong point... hope to get there though!

There's a book called "Basic Perspective Drawing" by John Montague and it is pretty much THE End all book of perspective.

Definitely a must have for anyone wanting to paint scenery etc. It teaches you the rules and then once you know it all you can figure out stuff for yourself.
